When it comes to finding the city of Parma, the historical complex is hard to miss. Nestled between Piazzale della Pace and Lungoparma, the museum looks like a military fortress from the outside. It almost seemed intimidating and uninviting at first. However, my impressions of it drastically changed after the first stepped foot inside of the structure. The National Gallery, The Palatine Library, The Farnese Theater, and The Archaeological Museum is now open to the public. Each facility has its own unique style. I wasn’t able to soak up everything when I visited the first time, mainly becauseĀ of how big the museum is and that there are so many varying, priceless pieces of artwork there. However, ever since I started working on the project, I go there, I feel like I learn more about the artworks, culture, and history of Parma! The Palace of the Pilotta many times as it is so versatile and has so much to offer!
